Izaac watched his parents coordinate care for his grandparents, one living with Alzheimer's and one with Lewy Body Dementia. They never once flinched at the caregiving itself. What wore them down was everything stacked around it: the scheduling, the phone calls, the medication lists that lived in three different places, trying to hold onto their own health while holding up everyone else's. He started building because of what he watched it cost them.
Larry and Kimberly are married. Larry is a fourth-year medical student. Between his clinical shifts, the two of them were up late in Buffalo coordinating care for his grandmother in Malaysia: sorting out medications, making calls timed to the other side of the world, trying to keep a family aligned across an ocean and twelve time zones.
Between the three of us there is medical training, epidemiology and public health, and product design. But the credentials are not the reason we are the right people to build this. Our families have been living this problem. We are building the thing we needed and could not find.
